Quick Start Guide

Register on Direktt 📝

1. Go to the Registration Page

• Open your browser and navigate to the Direktt admin console.

2. Fill Out the Registration Form

• Enter a valid email address and a strong password
• OR, click Login With Your Google Account for quick access.

3. Confirm Your Email

• Check your email inbox for a confirmation message from Direktt.
• Open the email and click the verification link.

4. All Done!

• Once your email is confirmed, log in to start using Direktt.

Create Your First Channel 📡

1. Add a New Channel

• Click the blue “Add New Channel” button at the top right of the Channels section.

2. Enter Channel Name

• A pop-up titled Add New Channel will appear.
• Type your new channel’s name in the Channel Name field.
• Click Submit.

3. Channel created!

• Your new channel appears in the channel list – you’re ready to go!

Test Your Channel 🔎

1. Subscribe to Your Channel

• Click the Edit button (in Actions column) for your channel.
• Use your mobile phone to scan the Subscription QR Code

2. Download Direktt Mobile App

• Don’t have the app? You’ll be prompted to install it.
• Log in using your Direktt credentials.
  • Android users: Automatically subscribed after login.
  • iOS users: Scan the QR Code again after logging in.

3. Subscribed to Channel!

• You’ll see your channel in the app’s channel list.

4. Set Your Display Name and Avatar

• Tap More in the bottom right.
• Tap Edit icon above default avatar.
• Set your new display name & avatar, then tap Save.
• Return to the channel list via Channels in bottom left.

5. Send your first message as subscriber

• Tap your channel, then tap its chat.
• Type and send your first message.
• Go back to the channel screen – tap back arrowin upper left

6. Send your first message as admin

• Tap More and switch to Admin mode
• Select your channel and open its chats.
• Enter the chat with your subscriber user
• Send a message as admin.
• Switch back to User mode from More.

7. Channel tested!

• You’ve sent messages as both subscriber and admin – your channel chat is fully working!

Connect WordPress to Direktt 🔗📝

1. Install Direktt WP Plugin

• Log in to your WordPress admin (wp-admin).
• Go to Plugins > Add New, search for “Direktt.”
• Click Install and Activate.

2. Activate Your WP Instance

• In the Direktt admin console, open your channel’s info screen.
• Scroll to the API Key & API Access section.
• Copy your API Key for WordPress.
• In WordPress, go to Direktt > Settings, and paste the API Key in the Direktt API Key field.
• Click Save Settings & Activate WP.

3. WP Connected to Your Direktt Channel!

• Your WordPress site is now successfully connected to your Direktt channel!

Tips & Troubleshooting 🔧

Having trouble? Try these common solutions: 1. Didn’t get your confirmation email?

• Check your Junk or Spam folder for the email from Direktt.

2. Channel not visible in the mobile app (admin mode)?

• Make sure you log into the Direktt mobile app with the same user account you used for the Direktt admin console.

3. Plugin connection issues?

• Double-check that you have copied the entire API key, and there are no extra spaces when pasting it into WordPress.
• If the plugin still doesn’t connect, try re-saving the settings and check your WordPress site’s internet access.
